'Single parent supplements,' 'couples only holidays,' and the hotelier's odd tyrannical assumption that every family is a 'couple with two children' (under 12s only, thank you very much); they've long been the bane of my yearly get-away. It would seem that a single parent with too many children but some means (I run my own business from home) somehow has great difficulty in selecting, nay finding, a holiday that can accommodate single parent and family without breaking the bank or worse.
