Phuket, Thailand's largest island is only around 30 miles from north to south. On a global scale it's a baby of an island, small enough that a marathon runner could jog down its longest axis in the space of an afternoon. You'd think, then, that Phuket Island would be one of the easiest places in Thailand to navigate. With millions of tourists visiting each year the island must have a solid infrastructure, and its diminutive size must make it a breeze to get around.
